February Challenge: Fan Brush

February Challenge Day 6: Fan Brush

This technique finishes with nails that look a lot like sugar spun nails but without all the time involved and some of the blobs. For these nails, start out with a lighter base color. I chose Zoya Piaf, a great yellow metallic:

I then used Zoya Blu, Julie, and GeiGei to create the final look. I dropped blobs of each color, one at a time, onto a piece of paper. I then took a fan brush, lightly dipped the tips into the polish, and dragged it across my nail horizontally (the colored tips of the brush made lines from left to right). I began the process with Julie and once I had purple lines all over my nails, I moved on to Blu and finally GeiGei! All in all, a very easy manicure! Enjoy! :)

  1. This is great! I'll have to try it out.

  2. This came out awesome! One of the best fan brushes I have seen!

  3. Did you use a different brush for each color.

    1. Nope, same brush for each color! I just wiped it on nail polish soaked paper towel between colors!
