February Challenge: Fish Tail

A fish tail mani is something I've been wanting to try, like so many other things in this challenge! :) I wanted to see if I could make it easier than polishing the whole thing freehand and waiting in between stripes for the polish to dry. Here's what I ended up doing:

Polish your nails a solid color. I chose Zoya Julie, a beautiful spring-y purple shimmer:

Then, polish three squares of different colors onto a plastic baggie. I chose China Glaze For Audrey, Zoya Julie, and butter London Knackered. I let them dry for a day and then I used an orange stick to peel the corner up so I could pull the polish square off of the bag:

Then cut your three squares of polish into strips:

Lay them diagonally one after the other starting on the left. Then continue to place them right, left, right until you have a fish tail effect! You will have to trim off some excess polish strip, but that was easy! Enjoy! :)
