Remember when ellagee came out with her dolphin polishes? Well, Laura just did another awesome release: silver holo penguins and seashells! During testing, the penguins and seashells performed wonderfully! But, when Laura began making batches of the polishes, a few glitters here and there became a little melty. That being said, the penguins and seashells aren't IN the polishes, they come in a little bag with the polish! I actually prefer it that way, so that I can place the glitter exactly where I want it! And if you just want to use the penguins, you can! Or the seashells! :) All polishes in this collection are $9.50 and can be found at www.ellagee.com.
First up is Chilly Willy, a clear base with blue and silver metallic holo glitters. I did one coat of Chilly Willy over two coats of ellagee Forgetful Lucy. I really love this glitter topper! Circle glitter always gets me excited, and this mix of blue and silver is simply gorgeous! I added penguins and a seashell to my accent nail.
Next up is my favorite of the collection: Rainbow Reef! Rainbow Reef is a clear base with silver holo dolphins and sun bleached tropical colored glitter in a variety of shapes and sizes, including tiny stars and circles! I love the color variation in this polish! And of course, I love the dolphins! I did two thin coats of Rainbow Reef over two coats of ellagee Bashful Sadie. Again, I added penguins and seashells to my accent nail.
Fancy Mister Waddlebutt, named for Wheezy from Toy Story, is a clear base with white and black glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes. There are also red bow ties in the mix! This is one coat over two coats of China Glaze Wait 'N Sea. Of course, my penguin and seashell are on the accent nail!
Finally, Just Smile and Wave, Boys is a clear base with a rainbow of hexes along with black and white diamond glitter! I did one coat over two coats of ellagee Sassy Cassidy with a penguin and seashell on my accent nail.
Aren't these penguins just too cute? I love them! They were all super easy to work with and went on smoooooooooth! They have the perfect amount of glitter in them, not too much and not too sparse! Enjoy! :)
