Neon Mum Water Marble

I have another water marble for you today because WATER MARBLE ALL THE THINGS! :) I decided to marble over a vinyl stencil today, which I've never done before. I definitely need more practice with it, but I'm pleased with how it turned out for my first time!

I began with two coats of ellagee's Platinum. I then used Pipedream's All In (blue), High Roller (green), and On the List (pink) to create the marble you see. On my accent nail I used Love Angeline's Stuck on Love nail vinyl shields in the mum shape. I love the vinyl so so much, but it was a pain in the you-know-what to weed (when you poke out the vinyl pieces that are still in the middle). So MANY LITTLE PIECES. At any rate, I placed the shield on my nail, painted Latex Mani Mask around it, then dipped my finger in the marbling. It looks pretty cool, and I'm excited to experiment more with water marbling over vinyls in the future! Enjoy! :)

  3. That's a really interesting effect. I thought at first you must have stamped over the marble, I wouldn't have thought of trying vinyls. It's really effective with the bright, contrasting colours you've chosen. :)
