Zoya's Island Fun & Paradise Sun Collections

{Press Sample}

I have Zoya's entire Island Fun and Paradise Sun Collections for you today! For some reason, these collections surprised me! I'm used to really summery colors from Zoya right before summer, but many of these struck me as darker than what they usually put out. I love both collections, and the polishes go so well together that I decided to do my swatches in duos. Each swatch shows the cream and shimmer that compliment one another from each collection.

These polishes run $9, and they can be purchased online, at Ulta, and at Meijer. Most salons likely carry and/or allow you to purchase them as well. I've had the best luck buying mine online, though my Meijer always seems to be well-stocked. For each of these photos, I did two coats of each polish with the exception of one. I've noted the three coater for when you get to it! :)

The Island Fun Collection is the cream collection, while the Paradise Sun is the shimmer collection. Enjoy! :)

Demetria (cream) and Aphrodite (shimmer) are both a gorgeous poppy red hue, perfect for any time of the year. These look a little more orange than my photos show, and Aphrodite is much more shimmery too!

Jace (cream) and Genesis are the only two without a "partner" in the other collection, so I had to pair them together. Jace reminds me of a camo green, which Genesis reminds me of sparkling snow the morning after a fresh dusting. Genesis is the only three coater in both collections, but her gorgeousness is worth it!

Nana (cream) and Mae (shimmer) are a magenta/fuchsia hybrid of juicy summer color! This is by far my favorite pair of these collections. They are so vibrant and stunning, I didn't want to take them off! In fact, I'm currently rocking Mae on my toes because JUST LOOK AT HER!

Zoya Nana

Zoya Mae

Serenity (cream) and Isa (shimmer) are blue-based purples that I could imagine wearing from now until winter. The brightness is perfection, and these two paired so well together.

Another favorite pair of mine is Talia (cream) and Oceane (shimmer). These turquoise polishes remind me so much of the Caribbean, I just want to go back there and gaze at the water while my fingers and toes match it! :) I love the color of these two!

Zoya Talia

Zoya Oceane

Finally I have Cecilia (cream) and Selene (shimmer), both teal-greens polishes will awesome coloring. They're not quite palm frond color, but close enough! Which pair is your favorite?

Dressy Water Marble

{Press Sample}

We recently had a fancy dress day at work, and I decided to water marble my nails to match my dress. If you'd like a snippet of what my dress looked like, I posted a picture of these with part of my dress on Instagram

I began with a base of two coats of Platinum by ellagee. Platinum is very close to white, with a very subtle grey hint to it. When that was dry, I brushed Lickety Split Liquid Latex Mani Mask around my nails and up to my second knuckle on each finger. I then used the entire Greyscale Cremes Collection, along with Pipedream Polish's Happy Hour for a pop of color. When each marble was done, I added some dots on the nail of whatever color seemed to be missed on it with the water marble. One coat of top coat afterward and viola! The perfect nails to match my dress! Enjoy! :)

Indie Spotlight: KBShimmer's Summer 2015 Collection

{Press Sample}

Ready for some gorgeous new polishes that were recently released by KBShimmer?! Christy has added some stunning new polishes to her line-up just in time for summer! Her Summer 2015 Collection is a must-have! I have nine of the beauties to show you today! All of these polishes can be found at KBShimmer's shop, and they range in price from $7.50-$10.75 depending on finish! Enjoy! :)

Bahama Drama is a peachy neon coral that was smooth and full coverage in just two coats! I LOVE the color of this polish, and it's one of those colors that would look good on nearly every skin tone. The accent nail is a water marble of all of the creams in this post, except for For Sail By Owner. These didn't marble as well as other polishes I have, but I managed it just fine! :)

Foiled is chock full of small silver flakes, making an almost mirror-like finish is three thin coats. The darker spots you see on my nails are simply the reflection of my camera in the polish itself!

For Sail By Owner is a stunningly bright neon lime color! I got so many compliments on this polish when I wore it! Two coats was all I needed for opacity.

She's Beyond Kelp is what you see on my ring and pinkie nails. It's a clear based polish packed with flakies that shift from lime green to blue, and even some aqua at different angles! I only did one coat over For Sail By Owner, and you can see how opaque it looks. Another coat or two and I would've had full opacity!

Home Surf is a teal crelly with silver holographic glitter in a variety of sizes. I did two coats for the photographs!

In Yacht Water is a Caribbean blue cream polish that was opaque in two coats! I also used it for the water marbled accent nails.

Lei It Again is an electrified baby pink cream polish that was pure perfection in just two coats! Also used for the accent water marbled nail.

Another flakie! This one is called Look On the Nightside, a clear base with tons of flakies that shirt from green to purple to blue. I did two coats over Foiled, but you can barely see Foiled except for nail my cuticles because I didn't want to try to remove flakies from my skin! :P However, two coats would've been great for full coverage without undies!

Pink-a Colada is pink crelly that leans violet. It has holographic glitters in lime green, light blue, and pink floating around in it. I did three thin coats for opacity, but two regular coats could've worked as well!

Sarong Place, Sarong Time is a vibrantly bright purple cream that was amazing in just two coats. It was also used in my accent water marbled nail.

We Be Jammin' is definitely one of my favorites from this collection! It's a bright magenta polish with blue shimmer and micro holographic sparkle. This beauty was really hard to photograph because my camera kept freaking out! The second shot is more color accurate. I did two coats for full opacity!
